Centered in Christ, we are committed to serving to make a difference in the lives of the children and families in our community.

The organizations we currently partner with include:

Love INC (In the Name of Christ)  

Discovery is a partner church of Love INC of Eastern Carver County.  This network of 25 churches mobilizes volunteers to reach out in love to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of our neighbors.  Discovery hosts "The School Locker," providing backpacks, school supplies and winter wear for children in our community.  Over 450 backpacks with school supplies were given to families in August for the start of the new school year.

Bountiful Basket Food Shelf 

We support this local food shelf in Chaska with donations of food, personal care products and monetary gifts.

Compassion International 

Our congregations sponsors Julanda, in Haiti, through our monthly gifts, prayers and letter writing.

Imagine No Malaria 

United Methodists around the globe are committed to bring an end to malaria-related deaths.  Discovery has pledged $10,000 to help reach the Church-wide goal of $75 million to improve the ways people are fighting this disease.

Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children is a Christian organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults alike hand-pack meals that are then shipped to more than 50 countries around the world.

Simpson Housing Services

Simpson Housing provides a full continuum of supportive housing services to end chronic homelessness.
